Our family had a great week stay at the house. Bernard was very helpful answering all of our questions before and during our stay. The rooms, kitchen and pool were clean. Only had a few minor problems with a few broken items and the rooms were slightly smaller than pictured. Otherwise it was a great, comfortable stay with everything we needed in good proximity to the beach!

Let me first say that the owner was very helpful, and quick to respond. Property had everything we needed and then some. Definitely go with the linen package - well worth it. Beach was incredible. Probably my favorite of all time. The game my thing I would mention is that it may be tough to sleep 19 unless a few of them were in cribs or pack and plays in a larger bed room. The basement was roomy for ping pong but we didn't realize that the futon and couch were considered in the total bed count as they are right where the ping pong table is. Not a complaint - just informational There was plenty of beach gear stored all over the property for use along with every kitchen accessory you could want or need We had a fabulous week!

The house had everything any family could need. The pool and area were amazing.

The Beach Bird is the perfect Beach House destination! The beautiful outdoor pool, lounge area was amazing! Fan favorite for our kids!! Many hours playing and laughing in the pool, around the large Kitchen table and the ping pong table!! Card games galore! Not to mention the lovely short stroll to the beautiful beach was a breeze. However, our highlight was interacting with Bernard. Not only has he thought of everything one might need on a Beach Vacay, but he has multiple!! The double kitchen made preparing meals a snap! He is the absolute sweetest! He reached out immediately to see how he could help accommodate our family that was in town for a ceremony. He definitely made us feel right at home! We will absolutely be back! Oh, and the donuts at the Market! Make sure to grab those early in the am! My nephew says the Apple Fritters are the best he has ever had!! Thanks, Bernard! You're the BEST!

Plenty of room nice pool short walk to beach and Market.

Eleven of our family came together from 2 different states to celebrate our 50th Anniversary & one of the Grandson's 16th Bday. Plenty of room, TOTALLY furnished with everything you could possibly want or need. The Pool was beyond believing....over the top Wonderful! Short walk to the Beach...we could each come & go without using a car. It was sooooo nice to have the big Beach Umbrellas & the Beach Wagon....everything was provided. Bernard du Buy was a wonderful host....giving pre Vacation hints & driving instructions. Very clean & super stocked Beach Bird...very comfortable beds, great water pressure for showers. We highly recommend this property for a safe & convenient stay in Sandbridge!

Sorry for the long overdue review. My family of 12 had a wonderful time at this vacation house. Bernard is an absolutely wonderful man. The communication before our arrival was amazing. Once we were there he took care of anything we needed. The house was well equipped and the pool was amazing!! Short walk to beach, town, activities. Thank you Bernard for everything. You are the best!!! Would highly recommend this home.

My family of 12 stayed at the beach bird in August of 2016. Bernard is such a nice man. We arrived a little early but he let us unload our things in the downstairs and then we left to get lunch at the local eatery. The house was a mere minutes walk from the beach! Most of the family lounged in the pool all day. He had everything you would need for the beach. We especially liked the cart to pull our belongings. The house was clean, large enough for all of us. Having tv's in every room was a huge plus. I would recommend this house again and again. And just working with Bernard was such an easy and pleasurable experience. Thank you so much!

From start to finish your experience at Beach Bird will be wonderful!! The owner, Bernard du Buy, goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest has a phenomenal experience. He provided us with directions to help us avoid potential driving delays so we could get our vacation started on time! Beach Bird is fully equipped with everything you could wish for and use at the house and the beach! Everything from beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, pool and ocean toys, books, and games -- Beach Bird has it all! I emailed Bernard asking if Beach Bird had umbrellas as I have 2 family members who are sun sensitive -- not only did he provide umbrellas, but he purchased a large SunBrella so that several family members could hang out at the ocean without worrying. Also, your linens are free of charge --sheets, bath and beach towels!!! If you want to stay at a very clean, well maintained, and equipped house that is only a 2 minute walk to the ocean and an owner who is friendly and committed to providing you and your family the most relaxing, hassle free vacation --- then stay at Beach Bird!! Thanks Bernard for making our third vacation at Beach Bird so phenomenal!

This was a great vacation for my family and all seven of my grandchildren...... You commendations were first class and everything we needed was there..... This included all supplies in the kitchen and all supplies for the beach and pool plus there were many games for the grandchildren to use and play with..... We thoroughly enjoyed our week and recommend this property to anyone who wants to spend a great week at the Virginia Beach shore.
